There are many challenging puzzles offered at the Puzzled store, but what are the most difficult puzzles? I believe that that there are at least two distinct categories of difficult puzzles, and I will talk about twisty puzzles first. Twisty puzzles include the Rubik's Cube, the Pryaminx, and any other turning puzzles that turn on an axis. Just the regular 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube can be extremely difficult to solve without help, but the 7x7x7 cube (Pictured to the left) is even more of a challenge. I believe that the 7x7x7 cube is probably the most difficult twisty puzzle that we currently offer at Puzzled. Most people could probably figure out the 7x7x7 after they solve a 4x4x4 or higher (they use basically the same method), but if you have never solved the Rubik's Cube before and jump right into the 7x7x7, it will be VERY difficult.

The next category of difficult puzzles are mechanical puzzles. Mechanical puzzles include puzzles like the Enigma, Cast Delta, and the Dovetailed Knot (Pictured to the right). All of these puzzles are much different from twisty puzzles, and they require a different type of thinking to solve them. I believe that the Dovetailed Knot is probably one of the most difficult mechanical puzzles that we currently offer. It may look easy, but don't be fooled. It requires a lot of experimenting and time to solve it. All of these difficult puzzles can be frustrating at times, but it feels extremely rewarding once you figure out a puzzle and can show off all of your friends. I encourage you to check out some of our puzzles and find out for yourself the fun in solving puzzles.
